Issued by the National Weather Service at 6:39 PM PST on November 20, 2009


... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 am PST
Saturday above 3500 feet...

A Winter Weather Advisory above 3500 feet remains in effect until
1 am PST Saturday.

* Timing: snowfall will taper off to snow showers late this
evening.

* Snow accumulations: storm total 6 to 12 inches are expected
above 4000 feet and locally higher amounts are possible above
5500 feet. Storm total 3 to 6 inches are expected between 3500
and 4000 feet.

* Snow levels: currently 3500 feet and will drop to around 2500
feet by 7pm.

* Impacts: higher elevations including Highway 3 near Callahan.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
