Issued by the National Weather Service at 9:07 PM CDT on March 19, 2010
... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 1 am Saturday to
midnight CDT Saturday night...
The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 1 am Saturday
to midnight CDT Saturday night.
* A mix of rain and snow will spread over the area late this
evening. The mixed precipitation should change to all snow
within a short time after the precipitation begins... with snow
expected to persist through Saturday morning.
* Snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected by noon
Saturday.
* Most of the snow accumulations will be on grassy areas due to
the warm ground temperatures. However heavier bursts of snow
late tonight and early Saturday morning will accumulate fast
enough to cause roads... especially bridges and overpasses... to
become snow covered and slippery.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slick... snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and be careful while
driving.

Issued by the National Weather Service at 9:45 PM CDT on March 19, 2010
... Flood Warning now in effect until Saturday...
The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River at Moline.
* Until Saturday.
* At 8:30 PM Friday the stage was 12.2 feet... and falling.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... fall below flood stage Saturday.
* Impact... at 12 feet... water affects residences near the 27th
street bridge.

... Flood Warning remains in effect until Sunday morning...
The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River near Joslin.
* Until Sunday morning.
* At 8:30 PM Friday the stage was 12.6 feet... and falling.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 12 feet... water affects some Summer cottages along the
river.
945 PM CDT Fri Mar 19 2010
... Flood Warning now in effect until Tuesday evening...
The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Muscatine.
* Until Tuesday evening.
* At 9:00 PM Friday the stage was 14.9 feet... and rising.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage Monday morning... and continue
rising to 16.1 feet Monday. Fall below flood stage Tuesday
evening.
* Impact... at 16 feet... water affects the lower portion of the
Riverside Park parking lot.
