Coastal Flood Warning
Issued by the National Weather Service at 1:42 am EST on March 14, 2010

... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 11 am EDT this
morning...

A coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 11 am EDT this
morning.

Water levels remain 2 to 3 feet above normal on the tidal Potomac
River and Maryland Chesapeake Bay... with some locations along the
upper tidal Potomac near Alexandria and Washington DC having water
levels approaching 4 feet above normal. These positive departures
will result in moderate tidal flooding during high tides this
morning.

Minor to moderate flooding will likely continue during the high
tide cycle this afternoon and tonight... especially over the upper
tidal Potomac with the enhanced effects of fresh water runoff.

On the Chesapeake Bay... high tides at Solomons Island and Point
Lookout have just occurred.

Here are the times of the next high tides
for a few locations from north to south...

Havre de Grace... 9:44 am...
Bowley Bar Middle River... 7:22 am...
Fort McHenry Baltimore... 6:31 am...
