Issued by the National Weather Service at 5:14 am EDT on March 14, 2010


... Forecast flooding increased from minor to moderate severity...
the Flood Warning continues for
the youghiogheny river at Sutersville.
* Until late tonight... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 4:00 am Sunday the stage was 20.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 21.1 feet later
this morning. The river will fall below flood stage this evening.
* Impact... at 20.0 feet... residential basement flooding in Sutersville
begins in homes along the right bank. Flooding also begins in the
West Newton business District 5 miles upstream.

the Ohio River at Pittsburgh.
* Until Wednesday morning.
* At 05am Sunday the stage was 22.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 22.6 feet this evening.
* Impact... at 22.0 feet... the tenth street bypass floods

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a
* Flood Watch for
the youghiogheny river at Sutersville
* from this evening to late Sunday night.
* At 7:00 am Saturday the stage was 16.4 feet.
* Moderate flooding is possible.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast... flood stage may be reached by this evening.
